About Thermal Mud...

Rotorua is a very active thermal volcanic region of New Zealand. You don't have to go far to see active geysers, hot water springs or bubbling mud pools. In fact you have to be very careful on the public golf course. (don't try to retrieve lost balls). It is from these bubbling mud pools that the thermal mud in Parrs range is obtained. It is sterilised and refined first to remove volcanic ash and any other matter that we don't want. Thermal mud is a wonderful product to work with as it is naturally very active in killing bacteria and is great for the prevention and reduction of acne.

Our thermal mud is combined with hot mineral spring water which introduces all the natural minerals bought up from the center of the earth making it a natural source of healthy minerals to assist with skin care. Ordinary clay and mud do contain some minerals, but volcanic mud from Rotorua is far richer in minerals. The main minerals in Rotorua thermal mud are Aluminum, Silica, Magnesium, Calcium, Iron, Sulphur, Titanium, Phosphorus, Sodium, and Potassium. Some of the trace elements are Copper, Selenium, Zinc, Cobalt, Manganese, and Molybdenum. Rotorua Thermal Mud has a very similar affinity to the moisture in normal skin which make it perfect for use in skin rejuvenation.
